LONG BEACH, Calif. – Oct. 4, 2011 Epson America, Inc., today announced its first line of portable label makers designed to bring creativity to home and office organization – the LabelWorks LW-300 and LW-400. Both models deliver versatile, professional-looking labels with 14 font types, 75 frames and more than 300 symbols. Additionally, Epson is offering more than 40 tape cartridges in both traditional colors and specialized media to take any project from ordinary to extraordinary. LabelWorks also provides dramatically smaller lead margins for up to 60 percent less margin waste 1, giving users a perfectly sized label for any application.

“Epson has been a leader in label printing technology around the world for more than a decade, and by now offering this new product category in the U.S., we are giving consumers the benefits of  that experience,” said Anna Jen, director of new business development, Epson America, Inc. “The LabelWorks line delivers an easy-to-use, versatile and creative solution for almost any application, whether organizing at home, in the office, or in the field with specialized jobs like cable and wire labeling.”

In addition, the LW-400 has expanded specialty print modes that include custom barcodes, cable and wire wrap and a tab function that prints a mirror image, making folder organization effortless.

Holiday Gift guide: Veeshee Review with Giveaway

The holidays are fast approaching. What does that mean? It means gifts and guests. If your family is anything like mine it can mean a household full of people at any given time. This year we are going to someone else's house for the holidays but still you have to buy gifts and there are things you always need. That is where Veeshee comes in. Veeshee is an online monogram store. They have so many items that I can get something for just about everyone on my list. Think I am lying? Well I can get Tiffany a Tiny Dancer Dress from their kids line and Susan a Weekender Bag from the bag line.

TESTING Veeshee:

I received a Laundry Hamper that I had monogrammed with "Laundry". I know boring right? ?There was a purpose though. Since we will be gone for several weeks during the holidays I wanted something that was similar to a laundry basket. Those small bags never seem to work right and the last thing I need to try and fit into my car is a laundry basket. With this hamper we can throw our clothes into it just like we do at home. It will help keep everything together. The other great thing is that it folds down flat so it will fit into our suitcase (our large suitcase) easily. However, it will  not be going int our suitcase on the trip up as it will be used to help transport gifts.

PROS of Veeshee:

  • The workmanship on the monogramming is unsurpassed.
  • Variety of porducts
  • Site is very easy to search and find what you are looking for
  • You could do most of your gift shopping from one site
  • All prices include embroidery
CONS of Veeshee:

  • NONE

Yandy.com for a Grown-up Halloween

Yandy is one of my favorite online shops. They have everything a woman needs as far as lingerie is concerned. However this is NOT a lingerie review. The other thing that Yandy carries and some may not know is sexy Halloween costumes. Reviewing for Yandy is always fun and this year I am attending my first ever Grown-up Halloween Party.I am super excited but let me tell you finding the right costume is anything but easy. I wanted something wasn't too girly but also something that was too over the top. So when the chance to work with Yandy came I jumped on it.

TESTING Yandy:

I chose the Sexy Flapper Dress Costume. I thought it would be fun. The costume comes with a feather for your hair and a long strand of pearls. I will admit that I was a little scared of how short it was when I put it on. I guess I didn't realize that women wore things that short in the 20s. However after wearing it around for a few minutes I got accustomed to it and like my husband said I would be wearing stocking underneath it and I could slip on a pair of  boy shorts (sort of like the ones cheerleaders wear) to cover everything up. As long as I don't bend over we are good to go. The feather was funny because I wasn't sure how to put in my hair exactly so I asked my mom. She said she didn't know and I told her I thought she would because she lived through that. I then realized that she was born in the fifties. OOPS! All in all I think this will be a great costume choice for me and I can't wait to wear it. I am searching a 20s jacket so I can keep warm between the car and the house.

PROS of Yandy:
  • Something for everyone
  • An array of sizes
  • Beautiful pieces
  • Many of Yandy's items now have a video so you can see how they look on an actual person. The costume I chose did not but here is another flapper costume that does have one:

  • Sequin Flapper Girl Costume

UPDATE:

Sarah form Yandy.com let me know today that they now have a video of the costume I have so here it is for everyone to see:

Halloween Costume

When everyone was decided Halloween costumes this year my nephew Reese said he wanted to be Woody from Toy Story. So his mom told me a costume she had found and I began checking it out. It was okay but Costume Supercenter has much nicer costumes. So I headed over and checked them out. I told my sister in-law to head over and check them as well. Reese called me back saying he loved the Cars Halloween costumes. So I did what any other wonderfully terrific aunt would do in my position. I emailed the company and asked if we could have a costume to review. If you have been a reader of Rita Reviews for a while you know that I adore Costume Supercenter and have worked with them several times before.

 TESTING Costume Supercenter:

We were sent  the Lightning McQueen Costume. Well to say Reese loved it is an understatement. The picture alone is worth a thousand words. He is all about Cars and has been since he first saw them. I know what you are all thinking "What happened to Woody?" Well I don't know. He saw this and it was the one he wanted. One of the things I love about Costume Supercenter is how timely they are. When you place an order you receive it with a few days.

PROS of Costume Supercenter:
  • True to size
  • Great quality
  • There is something for everyone.
Cons of Costume Supercenter:
  • NONE

I am always loved and always will.  However the Orchard's Finest Coastal Valley Peach Apricot Preserves was divine. I have never had peach in jam or jelly form ever. So I am thrilled that the first time was in the wonderful preserve.

Monster Jam Birthday

My four year old nephew is a Monster Jam freak! He loves all things Monster Jam. He not only knows the name of every single truck but can tell you which one is which and can spell some of them. He has drawers of the trucks and if one is missing he knows it. It is really super cute. So this year when his mom asked him what kind of birthday party he wanted this year he quickly said Monster Jam. So I set out to find some Monster Jam items for him. I was lucky enough to find a contact who was so wonderful! We are eternally grateful to Monster Jam for the wonderful things they sent.

The party was more than a success!  Starting with the wonderful flags that Monster Jam sent to hang as decorations. Of course that was just the beginning. They also sent some  plates and napkins which was wonderful because finding those in the stores is not an easy task.

Reese's cake was full throttle Monster Jam as well.  Yea! that is Mr. Reese himself. He is obsessed with all things Monster Jam so this party was more than just a child's birthday party for him. It was a dream come true.

Of course what is a birthday party without presents. If you will notice all the Monster Jam trucks along the bottom and to the side. The sad thing is he most likely has all those already but he doesn't seem to mind getting duplicates of anything. Anyone wanting to send him one just let me know.

THANK YOU Monster Jam for a memorable birthday! You made a child's year!

Monster Jam has a wonderful Kids Zone on their website for all your Monster Jam freaks!
