I walk to town sometimes. By to town I mean the eight mile walk from my home to the small town I live in. The walk is not that bad once you get up the mountain heading for the state park. After that it is all down hill and a rather pleasant walk. I can stop at the state park and go potty and rest. Then head to town. the one thing I always seem to have problems with is my flat feet. Add to that that one ankle is now made more of surgical steel than bone with a plate in the bottom of one foot and you've got some pretty sore feet. I have tried just about everything on the market to help ease my feet. Nothing has helped.
When I pitched to Happy Feet I figured I would give them a try, they would work for a while but not really last through more than one or two walks. I was wrong they have lasted through several walks. They have also lasted through me changing them into other shoes. I like the thin design and I must say the first time I put my shoes on it felt weird. Happy Feet Insoles have this fluid inside them that moves with you as you move. It's a little weird but cushions your feet and absorbs the shock of your walking. I was very happy with them and will have to purchase another pair for myself and one for hubby.
{PROS} They honestly work, are ultra-thin so you don't really notice you have them on.
{CONS} The one thing I didn't like was that in one the fluid doesn't seem to quite move to the ball of my foot. It's kind of off the one side a little. Not like the other. However that could be how I am walking causing it.
