Van and his friends Zoe and Fred,are your typical teenagers. Van is working as a bat boy for a major baseball team before being led into mystery and danger as they try to discover the mystery to the Moe Berg card Van's father gave him.
Mr. Devitt has done a great job of keeping us on the edges of our seats. This is a book that surprisingly I enjoyed (I hate baseball!) If you like mysteries you will love this book. The book is set in Seattle, Washington and gives you a behind the scenes look at baseball. My son is almost finish reading now and he is enthralled with it. As this is Volume 1, we can't wait for the next in the series.
